Tomika Lynn Miles?
Tomika Lynn Miles is a dedicated hairstylist, master educator, and mentor with over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. She received her formal education and professional training at both Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical High School and Burean Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As a master stylist and business owner, Tomika continually hones her skills by attending seminars, hands-on workshops, and interactive classes. She takes pride in providing extensive education and training for her team at Journey Hair Salon, where the staff actively engages with the community by offering various classes free or at low cost.
Tomika is passionate about mentoring cosmetology students, guiding them for six weeks in essential hairstyling techniques, haircuts, color trends, bridal styles, and the fundamentals of salon ownership. She believes in empowering the next generation of
hairstylists with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
In addition to her work in the salon, Tomika is an inspiring motivational speaker. She has had the privilege of speaking for various e organizations, including returning to her former high school as the 2024 Commencement Speaker for Murrell Dobbins High
School. Through her speaking engagements, she encourages young people to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges, sharing her journey to empower and uplift others.
The History Of Journey Hair Salon
Journey Hair Salon opened its doors in 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a commitment to health-focused hair care and maintenance. In addition to running a successful salon, I have proudly served as the Chief Examiner for the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology and currently hold the position of Master Educator for McBride Research Laboratories, the creators of the Design Essentials product line.
